When the crew of Fireplace Games met, they were at Rubika -school for game design and animation. They teamed up and built a fun prototype of a game with a swashbuckling heroine. After they graduated they all went their separate ways. In the meantime the little demo was gaining traction with nominations and awards. This led to a publisher offering to finance the production of a full game. And so, 2 years after the initial prototype, the original 8 members of the team became co-founders of their own studio. Their debut game En Garde! will release this month. This and many more inspiring tales from the frontline of game development in this month’s newsletter.
